This is the #1447WS Steam Turbine Freight Set that Lionel made circa 1948. This Set includes the #2020 Diecast Steam Turbine Steam Engine with Smoke and Headlight, the #6020 Whistle Tender, the #2461 Diecast Flat Car with Black Transformer, the #3451 Operating Log Dump Car, the #2460 Black Operating Crane Car with Six Wheel Trucks and the then-new #6419 Work Caboose. No Track or Transformer. Our Opinion is that the Set is generally in Excellent Plus to Like New Minus Condition, very minor signs of use and age. The Original Set Box is in (8+/9-) Condition, a great label with one corner of the box loose at the tape seam. The Original SF-2 Boxes are all in (8+) to (9-) Condition, minor wear, except the Engine Box, which has a taped End Flap, and the Caboose Box, which is missing an interior flap. The Caboose Box is actually every rare since this was the only set it was included in 1948 and is an SF-2 Box; most 1949 Production was placed in "55-" Boxes. As we noted in our Book, Postwar Guide to Lionel Trains, Catalogued Set, this was a unique set in one way in that every single piece of this Set included an Insert. All Original in our Opinion.
